🚀 Why I Choose Bedrock WordPress Over Traditional WordPress (Even for Client Projects) Most developers compare WordPress vs Laravel, but I think the better comparison is Bedrock WordPress vs Regular WordPress. Here's why Bedrock has become my preferred setup: ✅ Better Security Environment variables (.env) keep sensitive credentials out of the codebase. WordPress core lives outside the public web root, reducing unnecessary exposure. ✅ Professional Dependency Management Install and update WordPress, plugins, and themes with Composer instead of manual uploads. Version control becomes predictable and reliable. ✅ Clean Project Structure Organized folders make large projects easier to maintain. No more cluttered root directory. ✅ Git-Friendly Commit only the code that matters. Every team member works with the same dependencies and environment. ✅ Multiple Environments Easily manage Development, Staging, and Production without editing configuration files. ✅ Laravel-Like Developer Experience Modern workflows, environment configuration, Composer, and cleaner architecture feel familiar to Laravel developers while still leveraging WordPress' powerful CMS capabilities. 💰 Cost No extra licensing cost—Bedrock is open source. The investment is in better development practices, which often reduces maintenance time and long-term project costs. 🎯 Bottom Line Regular WordPress is excellent for quick websites. Bedrock is WordPress built for professional development, scalable teams, enterprise projects, and long-term maintainability. If you're building custom WordPress solutions in 2026, Bedrock is worth considering.

Spring/Summer Loungewear & Resort Collection Week 1 — Menswear: Summer Resort Set Kicking off a new collection with this one - Short-sleeve Cuban collar button-down in linen, paired with relaxed-fit linen drawstring shorts. - Hand-placed tropical floral print along the sleeves and lower hem (front + back) — kept it clustered instead of all-over so the sage green base (#a3c4af) still gets room to breathe. - Soft yellow undertones + accent floral palette to pull it into resort/vacation territory without tipping into "Hawaiian shirt" cliché. - Includes front + back flats, isolated garment views, and full colorway breakdown. Flat sketches: - Front and back technical flats for both the shirt and shorts, including collar construction, button placement, and drawstring detail. - Isolated floral repeat shown separately so the print placement is clear without the garment shading. - Back pockets on the shorts finished with a smaller embroidered floral detail — a quieter callback to the main print. - Built these to be tech-pack ready, not just decorative — proportion and placement stay consistent across every view. The tricky part: - Getting the floral print to feel unique was honestly the hardest bit — it's easy to default to generic tropical motifs everyone's seen before. - Had to work through which flower types + arrangement actually made this read as "designed", not a stock print. Open to custom flat sketches and illustrations — DM if you'd like to collaborate.
