I've been thinking about it recently and I totally disagree with people saying it's easier than ever to become a designer now. I think back when I started out or even before that it was so simple.
Because of that it allowed us to focus on the basics first and then gradually, as technology has improved, to get accustomed to new features, learn them, and get creative with them.
Now imagine somebody starting out just now and how overwhelmed they would have been with all of these crazy advancements with AI and all these different tools.
Where do you even begin without getting frustrated and overwhelmed with all of it? That's a totally different ball game and I'm so glad I don't need to go through it.

It is and now everyone is a designer. It is an overwhelming even for experienced designer. I can't imagine what the fresh designers are going through. We should had made the lives easier for everyone, as the human progress with design and technology but we did the opposite perfectly.

I couldn't agree more. Pre-Ai it was so much more straight forward. Now anyone who's tech savvy or slightly creative can claim to be a designer which effects the long standing Designers who have trained for years pre the advancement in technology.

And before AI, there was...

Totally agree.. it was way more fun before. Now its all about speed, you have to do million of things just to stay relevant. which is tiring.

It's true. Although you might not have to go through it again but you will still have to improve and follow up with the lastest advancement so as to not be behind. Unless those that are still just learning will learn it no matter how hard and advance it is now, and surpass you that had learned it earlier before.

Of course you will, and that's fine, and that's life. I just think that if someone just starts out and has no idea about anything, it can be a lot, lot more overwhelming than it used to be.

I totally agree with you. Nowadays, even experienced designers are confused about which tools to learn and what to do next.
