Have you ever tried to use AI to move faster, only to realize doing it yourself was quicker?
I designed a landing page for JIG fully built on a grid in Figma. Then I used three AI tools to build it, even feeding them detailed context through MCP.
None executed it properly. One built only part of it. One ignored the grid. One was close, but still wrong.
Yes, AI can do it. But in my experience, you need near code level precision to get high quality output.
The ironic part is that building it in Framer was the fastest route. The grid system was already there and the layout was clear. Trying to shortcut the process with AI actually slowed it down.
P.S. The landing page is still a work in progress, so tablet and mobile views are not done yet.

This is such a real take.
AI helps, but structure still wins. If the grid is clear, sometimes building it directly is just faster. Curious which tool got the closest?
Claude Code MCP came the closest, but even though I understand the fundamentals of coding, I needed more visual control, like in Framer or Webflow, to move faster.

This is such a valid point about AI tools and design. Sometimes your own hands and a solid grid system are just faster than explaining context to an AI. The landing page looks great though — clean and interactive!
Hey @Stephanie Asoegwu when you have custom design, definitely faster if you do it by yourself in my experience.
I think for now the best way to use AI is for analysis and planning. Yes, it can write code, create designs, build websites, and so on, but it does so at such a basic level that no one is going to truly admire what you’ve built with it. Human creativity will not be replaced as long as it is created FOR humans.
Hey @Mikhail Yakovlev I think AI can create work that truly impresses, but only when you approach it with clarity, intention, and precise direction.
I've been in this situation countless number of times, especially when vibecoding a potential product. I just sometimes become my own AI and get on with it.
Hey @Ozovehe Abdulrazaaq 100%. We just need to know when AI actually helps and makes things faster, and when it doesn’t. Used at the right time, it can really speed things up.

Scroll-speed parallax is the one that caught my eye, it's a small detail but it makes the whole scroll feel intentional instead of just decorative. Did that come together quickly in Framer or was it more trial and error to nail the timing?
