Earlier, when I worked in aviation, one thing became very clear:

That experience changed how I approach content.

Because businesses today face the same problem, just in a different form.

-Their systems are complex. -Their processes are layered. -But their content doesn’t reflect that clarity.

So users get confused. Teams misalign. Opportunities are lost.

Now, when I write:

-I don’t just focus on words. -I focus on flow, structure, and usability.

Whether it’s an aircraft system or a SaaS product, clarity is what keeps everything moving.

Designed a hero section for a landing page concept: Atelier SR DesignOps & Creative Workflow platform for B2B in-house teams.

The challenge: make operational software feel handcrafted and human. I built two directions around a "Paper & Pasteboard" design system, editorial typography, tactile textures, collage UI elements, and a dashboard that actually shows the product.

Right now, the left design definitely feels like the cleaner. That said, the layout on the right has a ton of potential if you also correct the button padding and increase the top padding of the hero section so the content isn't hugging the header so tightly. What do you think?

Nobody has ever left a website thinking: “You know what that needed?” “Another paragraph.” Yet that’s usually the first thing founders add when enquiries slow down. Not because they’re bad at marketing. Because they’re trying to help. “If I explain it better…” “If I tell them more…” “Maybe I need to mention this certification as well.” Seems logical. Then another section appears. A new framework gets squeezed in. Somewhere a second call to action pops up. Nothing disappears. Everything survives. Eventually the homepage turns into a storage unit. The strange part? Visitors aren’t leaving because they don’t have enough information. Most of the time they’re leaving because they haven’t found a reason to care yet. Those are completely different problems. I’ve finished reading websites that explained absolutely everything. Couldn’t tell you what the business actually wanted me to do. Funny how that works. More information feels like confidence to the founder. Less confusion feels like confidence to the visitor. That’s usually where I start when I’m auditing a website.

Why overcomplicating your layout kills readability. Most content-heavy sites fail because they try to show everything at once. Sidebars, badges, related articles, and tiny fonts create cognitive overload. The user gets tired after two paragraphs and leaves.

Good design is about aggressive editing. You need to manage where the eye goes first.

In this layout, the hierarchy does all the work: • A massive headline sets the mood and context instantly • Generous white space prevents visual fatigue • The clean grid ensures the reader actually focuses on the text

We don't need complex decorations to make a web page look expensive. We just need perfect typography and discipline.
