Envato AI gave me a house. It took human instinct to turn it into a home.
For the #envatochallenge, I wanted to put the "Human by Design" philosophy to the test by creating a complete premium brand identity for House of Racky.
My goal was to use Envato’s creative toolkit to push past the cold, mathematically sterile outputs of AI and inject real emotional luxury into the visual assets.
The Process:
The Spark: I used AI generation to start exploring shapes, but the initial outputs felt emotionally empty and lacked structural balance.
The Human Touch (My 'Human by Design' Moment): I stripped out the generic, messy layouts and manually rebuilt the logo's geometric structure in my design suite. I chose a sophisticated, sharp custom typography layout to bridge the gap between high-end architecture and human warmth.
The Final Polish: Using Envato Elements, I sourced cinematic stock footage, deep Foley sound design effects, and professional mockups to build a fully realized brand ecosystem that feels grounded in the real world.
AI is an incredible starting block, but it takes human taste, eye for detail, and instinct to make a brand truly powerful.

Rebuilding the logo's geometric structure by hand after the AI pass is the part that actually separates this from a generic real estate mark. The kraft paper business card mockup sells the "high end architecture meets warmth" idea better than any polished render could.

Every element was crafted to reflect the brand's premium positioning while conveying a sense of luxury, professionalism, and effortless beauty across both digital and print applications.

Reimagining Blitzball as a Modern Sports Broadcast
I’m Wayne Porter, creative designer and owner of Porter Design and Motion. For the Rive Broadcast Challenge, I wanted to combine several interests into one project: motion design, sports broadcasting, interactive systems, and Final Fantasy X.
Inspired by studios such as Drive Studio and Territory Studio, along with designers Jacob LaPlante and Justin Peterson, I reimagined Blitzball as a modern broadcast experience for the fictional Spira Sports Network.
Blitzball is an intense underwater sport that combines elements of water polo and soccer. My goal was to create a broadcast package that felt energetic and futuristic, while remaining clear, readable, and functional.
The project began with the network identity and main scoreboard. From there, I developed a connected system that included:
A primary scoreboard
A compact gameplay score bug
A player statistics graphic
Three lower-third variations
A full-screen matchup takeover
Consistency was important throughout the package. Each element shares the same visual and motion language, allowing the graphics to feel like part of one complete broadcast system.
Rive’s state machines, view models, and data binding allowed me to create reusable layouts, player-specific information, animated score updates, and multiple graphic variations without treating every screen as a separate animation.
This project pushed me to think beyond individual motion pieces and focus on the entire delivery as a functional product. It was a fun opportunity to explore how design, animation, and interactive logic can work together to create a believable sports broadcast experience.
