Have you ever seen a café designed for parents? I haven't. So I designed one. It's called Before. It's a self-initiated concept, not a real café (yet). Somewhere between raising kids and building careers, parents stop talking to each other and noticing each other the way they used to. They're busy, they're tired, and the person they were before all of it slowly goes quiet. That became the foundation for everything. I wanted to design a place where parents can sit together, reconnect, and bring a little of their childhood back to the table. Not a play café with high chairs. A café for the parents. I didn't open Illustrator first Most designers start with the logo. I started with questions. Who is this for? What do they miss? What should it feel like to sit there? Then came the strategy. Then the moodboard, with old photos, warm light, and things that feel like being young. Only after that did I start on the design. By the time I got to the visuals, the thinking had already answered most of the questions. That's why the hourglass felt right. It's about time, and time is what parents feel they've lost. Why I'm sharing this A good logo on its own doesn't make a brand. A brand needs a reason to exist. That's how I work with every client, whether it's a café, a skincare line, or a jewelry brand. Strategy first, design second. enjoy the full casestudy here
