Which would perform better? 🍩
I created both of these visuals with AI for a client project, and I’m curious what the Contra community thinks.
The goal is not necessarily to choose the “prettier” image, but the one that would be more effective for a food/dessert brand on social media.
A: Lifestyle-focused, with the product being consumed + an Instagram/social proof element B: More playful and product-focused, using the donuts as the main visual hook
If you were choosing one for a paid social campaign or organic Instagram content, which one would you bet on?
And if you have second, I’d love to know why. Is it the composition, visual hook, product appetite appeal, storytelling, or something else?
Both are AI-generated, so I’m also curious whether that affects your perception of the creative.

Although I like both, but if I had to choose one, then I would go with Option A because along with the dessert, it also includes a lifestyle element.
Gülfem's avatar
Yes, lifestyle elements like this often encourage customers to do the same, but since both options seem to be getting a lot of love, I guess I should use both! 🍩✨

Yes, using both can help to keep the visuals fresh while connecting with audience preferences.

I definitely agree 🙌

Option A is a total winner for paid ad performance! Lifestyle storytelling combined with a social proof hook instantly builds trust and drives conversions, whereas Option B is great for top of funnel organic feeds. Both look amazingly seamless for AI visuals 🍩✨

I’m so glad you liked it! 🥹✨

I’d lean towards Option B for organic Instagram content!

Totally agree! I think B has that more playful, organic Instagram feel too 😊

I feel like the phone kind of hogs the focal point. My eye goes straight to it first. 😊
Gülfem's avatar
I totally get what you mean! But actually, what I was trying to do was create that feeling of the product being everywhere, both on the phone and in hand, to make it feel more like a desirable object 🍩😊
Suzanne's avatar
I understand! The phone makes more sense now :)

B because it make me want to Bring Both doughnuts to my Belly

Hahaha, that’s exactly the reaction I was hoping for 😂🍩

I’d choose A. It tells more of a story while still keeping the product visible.
Gülfem's avatar
I love that! That was exactly the idea behind A, making it feel more like a moment rather than just a product shot 🍩✨

I’ll choose both.

That’s exactly what I wanted to hear 🫶🏻🍩

BTW, How did you created it with help of AI, I'm curious.
Gülfem's avatar
I have a slightly different process for creating these visuals 🙌🏻 First, I look for the pose I want, and then I create each detail separately. For this example, I’m generating the donuts, the female model, and the accessories one by one. Once I have all the elements, I just...

For an organic feed I'd bet on B: the donuts are the hook and the appetite appeal reads in under a second while scrolling. A is stronger for paid, where the social-proof cue earns its place, though the phone competes with the product for that first glance.
Gülfem's avatar
Totally agree! I’d pick B for organic too. The donuts grab attention instantly, while A feels stronger for paid with the social-proof angle 🍩

I believe A gives the audience better idea about “having a social media” so it can be good for ad but B is really good to have it in the profile or website that help customers feel the joy of the brand
So the best answer both are good but it depends on the context
Gülfem's avatar
Exactly! I think both work really well, just in different contexts. That’s what makes choosing between them so interesting! 😅🍩

B looks more creative

Totally agree! I think B feels more creative and eye-catching too 😊

Really love this direction! 🔥 The motion adds so much freshness and energy to the brand. The balance between premium and approachable feels spot on. 👏
It shows genuine appreciation while highlighting specific aspects of their work, which can help start conversations with other creatives.
