SABLE RECORDS — Hero Section Exploration
Exploring a bold, editorial direction for an independent music label.
The goal was simple: make the hero feel like a record sleeve translated into a digital experience.

record sleeve as a hero, yes
the type is stunning!
The record-sleeve direction is a great fit for an independent label. Oversized type and that disciplined contrast give the hero attitude without making the navigation compete with the artist.
"A record sleeve translated into a digital experience" is such a clean brief to set for yourself. Once you get into the artists and releases pages, how do you keep that same oversized type, nothing-unnecessary restraint from feeling repetitive page to page?
