Made a debut brand video for Aeroes, a shoe brand that I created.
Aero-flux technology, aeration and aerosoles (air cushioning) are incorporated into Aeroes shoes' aerodynamic design, to improve postural structure and body balance, maximising athletic performance and physical flow.

Brand identity for Ceramic studio
Graphic identity conveys authenticity, craftsmanship, and modernity. We suggested combining classic serif fonts with modernist minimal sans-serifs. This balances tradition with modern simplicity for a sophisticated composition.
We used an irregular texture inspired by clay, simulated through stamp-like illustrations. This evokes earth and manual work, suggesting a human touch. For colors, we used earth tones with a vibrant accent for highlights. The typography creates an elegant, contemporary visual dynamic.

Incorporated for sure that's so nice
Client said "can we make it look more modern" on a call yesterday and I just sat there for a second because I never know what to do with that one.
It's not a bad note but not a design note either.. Nobody who says "modern" can tell you what modern actually looks like. I've asked. They point at someone else's site and say "like that" but what they're really saying is "that company looks like they have their stuff together and I want to feel that way too."
I used to just go tweak stuff in Figma when I got this note. Make things cleaner. Whatever I thought modern meant that week. Didn't work. They'd come back and say it still felt off, obviously, because the design wasn't the problem.
Anyway I don't have a clean takeaway here. I think the move is to just stop and ask "what feels off" instead of trying to fix it.
Yes, modern has many shades. It can be micro interactions, minimalist/ maximalist layout, cool gradients, abstract shapes, subtle/heavy contrast.
Sometimes, it can even mean whatever the category leader is doing at the time.
