Hey everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹
It's been a while since I shared one of my recent projects, but this one definitely deserves some attention.
I had the opportunity to design and develop a website for Matt Formston, an incredible athlete, keynote speaker, and someone who continues to inspire people around the world. Since the client has visual impairments, accessibility played a major role throughout the entire project, ensuring the website is easy to use not only for Matt but for people with similar needs as well.
Another thing I'd like to highlight is the website's performance.
There's often a misconception that websites packed with animations, videos, and interactive elements have to sacrifice performance. This project proves otherwise. With the right planning, development approach, and optimization techniques, it's possible to achieve PageSpeed scores above 90 on both mobile and desktop without hacks, shortcuts, or relying on third-party optimization services.
The project was built in Webflow and features a fully CMS-driven architecture, reusable components, Shopify integrations, custom forms, and custom animations, while still maintaining excellent performance and accessibility standards.
You can check out the full case study below, and I'd love to hear your thoughts! ๐Ÿš€

Thanks a lot! To be honest, the design was even more balanced initially, but we had to make some compromises with the clientโ€™s broader team. ๐Ÿ˜„

The accessibility angle makes this project stand out. Building for a client with visual impairments and still hitting 90+ PageSpeed on both platforms is a tough combination to pull off in Webflow. The CMS-driven architecture with Shopify integration sounds like a solid setup too.

Looks amazing but there aren't that many colors the bright green looks odd

Thanks! The design was based on the clientโ€™s branding, and they wanted nothing changed there. Honestly, it would probably have been better if I had been allowed to expand the accent color into a full palette and adapt it more, but it is what it is ๐Ÿ˜„
