Some illustrations don't need a story. They are the story.

Aladdin x Genie started with a simple idea what if these two weren't saving the world for once? Just two friends, a palace pool, a rubber duck, and a water fight that neither of them is winning.

The color direction came from pure joy. Hot pink pool. Cobalt blue arches. Warm desert sand. A palace glowing in the background like it's been there forever. Every element was drawn to feel alive, loose, warm, and full of the kind of detail you only catch on the second look.

The rubber duck was the last thing added. It was also the most important decision.

The rubber duck detail is everything. It's the kind of choice that tells you the illustrator was thinking about the scene, not just drawing it. The color palette reads immediately too, hot pink and cobalt is a bold call that actually works.
