NEOL. Making of the Hero
NEOL develops CuGlide™, a copper-based lubricant technology that reduces wear between metal parts.
I recently designed their website. The hero was the hardest part: two gears in contact, with a thin copper film where they meet. That's why I built it in 3D instead of generating it: AI video can't give that level of control and precision.
From the first draft to the live site.

Building the gears in 3D so the copper film sits exactly where they touch is the right call, that contact point is the whole product. Is the film a shader in the Blender render or a glow you comped in After Effects?

Love seeing it go from first draft to the live site. You don't see that process view enough.

Love how you turned a complex technical concept into something visually easy to understand. The 3D approach makes the product's value much clearer. Great thinking behind this!

The copper contact point is the whole product story. Building the gears in 3D instead of generating them was the right call. Great work!

Love the attention to detail! Sometimes, getting the small things right makes the biggest difference, whether in design or in accounting. 👏
