It can't show how much you learned making it.
That's something I think about often as a designer.
A finished project doesn't show the first terrible concept.
It doesn't show the 2 AM revision.
It doesn't show the client saying, “This isn't what I had in mind.”
It doesn't show the five versions that never made it to the final presentation.
It only shows the polished result. And that's okay.
Because every project leaves something behind.
A better eye.
A faster process.
A stronger understanding of typography.
A better way to handle feedback.
A clearer idea of what your work should stand for.
