Website design for Atelier Monolit, an architecture visualization studio.
In this design, the typography, the spacing, and the images are the main protagonists. In times of AI and speed, I believe it’s very important to take the time to think and create what we truly want, and not just what’s trending. In my case, I wanted a minimalist and editorial layout, and that’s not something easy to achieve with just a couple of prompts.

The pale blue canvas, tiny nav and generous empty space let the concrete render carry the page. Very calm, very architectural, and the small body copy sits tidy beside it.

Thanks for your comment! The idea was to achieve a balance where the images lead the overall design, and the typography plays an important but supporting role, giving space to the images while standing out in other areas where it was necessary.

Letting typography, spacing and images carry the whole page suits an architecture studio perfectly. Restraint like this is harder than it looks.

Thanks! Yes, in this type of layout you need to make different kinds of decisions. At least for me, I take my time and try out various composition variants until I find the one that resonates most with me and fits the project.

Ye le Jani: Absolutely love this philosophy! Typography and spacing as protagonists is exactly what architecture needs. So calm, so intentional. In this AI rush, taking time to think is the real flex. 👏

I think little by little it will become more and more evident which projects have invested time in creating a concept, as opposed to those that were simply made to be delivered quickly and automated. AI is incredible, but it’s up to us to use it to give meaning to what we do,...

Exactly! You said it perfectly. The effort behind real craft will always show through. Love that perspective!

The restraint here is the whole point, isn't it. Letting the concrete render and the whitespace do the talking takes real confidence. I especially like how the tiny nav almost disappears. Did the client ask for that level of minimalism, or did you have to defend the emptiness?

This architecture work was an exploration by the studio, not a real project, all of them are 3D renders. So my idea was to showcase those incredible images as best as possible in a prototype and make my own exploration, just like they did. I sent them my work and they liked it....

This is the part people miss: 'not easy to achieve with just a couple of prompts.' In times of AI and speed, a minimalist editorial layout is the hardest brief — there's nothing to hide behind, so typography and spacing have to carry every decision. I build agentic systems and I...

Thanks for your comment! I only use AI for execution, but everything related to the creative process, concept, art direction, and design I prefer to keep for myself, that’s what sets us apart as designers. Of course, I use AI, but I don’t let it think for me. I believe that soon...

Love how much room the type and imagery get. Did you start with the layout grid or the type?

Love this direction. Minimalist design really lets the architecture and imagery speak for themselves. 👌
