I’ve been interested in bringing more analog elements into my design process—not only to add more visual interest, but also to help me step away from my computer screen, which can feel draining at times. With that idea in mind, I started scanning and collecting all the little bits and pieces I’ve gathered over the past few years—from magazines to metro and museum tickets. It’s been fun to revisit those moments and to take little breaks from my desk to walk over to the scanner while I’m designing. Here are a few examples from that exercise! 🙂

The metro and museum tickets are a nice touch. There's something about ephemera like that which carries a texture and context that stock imagery never can. How are you compositing them in Photoshop, scanning flat or photographing?
