Here's something nobody tells you about the future:
Technology will keep getting smarter.
But that doesn't mean we will automatically become better.
AI can write.
AI can design.
AI can calculate.
AI can translate.
AI can create images, videos, music and presentations.
But it can't decide what kind of person you want to become.
It can't build your character for you.
It can't make your relationships meaningful.
It can't give your work a reason to matter.
And it definitely can't live your life for you.
We're entering a world where machines can do more and more of the work.
So perhaps the question isn't:
What can technology do for me?
Maybe it's:
What should I still choose to do myself?
Think. Care. Create. Love. Listen.Take risks. Build relationships. Make decisions. Make mistakes. Learn from them.

I'm pretty sure of that.
But I don't think this makes web design less valuable.
It makes good web strategy more valuable.
Because there will be no shortage of websites that look good.
The real question is whether the website has a job.
For me, that job is pretty simple:
Bring the right traffic.
Build trust quickly.
Turn that traffic into leads.
Send those leads where the business can actually do something with them.
That's what I'm trying to build around real estate.
Not just another nice-looking website.
A proper online asset that actually has a role in the business.

This brand concept was based around a crystal ball leaning into the more magical and mysterious side of predictability and AI.
Rejected concepts are always the more interesting share, they show the road not taken. The crystal ball angle for predictability is such a clever metaphor. What actually got this one cut, too whimsical for a fintech client, or did the chosen direction just test better?
