Stoopid sells flavoured birchwood toothpicks (Atomic Apple, Mad Mint, Classic Cinnamon), and the brand is loud, playful and a little unhinged. A Shopify theme was never going to do it justice.
So I built a custom Next.js + Tailwind frontend on top of Shopify, with GoKwik handling checkout for Indian shoppers.
A few of my favourite bits:
→ Switch flavours in the hero and the whole page changes colour to match the pack
→ A pack-size picker (1, 2, 3 or 5 packs) with the saving shown upfront
→ Stoopid Sounds: a vinyl-style player for the brand's playlist
→ A draggable 3D photo dome of the Stoopid community
→ A "Don't Click" link in the nav. Obviously.
The best part for the team: products, inventory and orders all still live in Shopify admin, so nobody has to touch code to run the store.

This is great work, the colour-shift on flavour switch is a nice touch. How are you handling product/variant syncing between Shopify admin and the Next.js frontend, webhooks plus ISR, or are you polling the Storefront API on each request?
Thanks! No webhooks or ISR for now.
Every product page and grid queries Shopify's Storefront API live when it renders, so changes made in Shopify admin show up on the next page load. If traffic grows, the plan is to cache those queries with revalidateTag and clear them from a products/update webhook.
