Inside the Creative Process: 3D, Nodes, and 2D Finishing
​While the final animation is live in my Work section, I wanted to show you the actual steps of how this "Forest Spirit" was born. This project was a deep dive into different technical and artistic approaches.
​What I’m sharing in this breakdown:
​Real-time Viewport vs. Final Render: I’ve uploaded videos showing how the model looks directly in Blender’s viewport compared to the final lighting setup. It’s important to see how the character holds up in various display modes.
​Shader & Node Magic: You can see a glimpse of my node tree in the Shader Editor. This is where I created the procedural textures and the bioluminescent glow for the mushroom cap.
​Krita Post-Processing: I don't just stop at the 3D render. I’ve included a look at how I used Krita to refine the final image, adjusting the colors and adding that extra layer of "fairytale" atmosphere that 3D alone sometimes can't capture.
​For me, 3D art is about the bridge between technical precision in Blender and artistic touch in Krita.
