SUN·SHIELD 🤠🌵☀️
SUN·SHIELD is a premium sunscreen brand reimagined through the American West, trading beach clichés for frontier heritage. A desert gecko has spent his whole life under the harshest sun on earth and never once burned, so who better to front sun protection? That one idea unlocks a whole world: saloon lettering, a sheriff's badge, wanted posters, and a holstered "six-shooter" that's really a tube of SPF.
Meet Sunny 🦎
A desert gecko cowboy and self-appointed sheriff of sun safety. Never burned, quick on the draw, with a tube of SUN·SHIELD holstered where his six-shooter should be. Sun-smart by nature.
Built entirely in @recraftai for the #recraftchallenge, character developed in Exploration, and kept on-model across every touchpoint with a locked reference image.

🧩 Problem
People constantly save photos, notes, places, ideas, and small reminders, yet most of them eventually disappear into digital noise.
Apps can store information, but they often lack the emotional feeling that something meaningful is being genuinely cared for and kept safe.
💡 Solution
That is how KEEPLI, The Little Keeper of What Matters, came to life.
KEEPLI is a warm, observant, and quietly optimistic mascot that keeps forgotten ideas, meaningful places, photographs, tiny joys, and memories, then brings them back at the right moment.
I specialize in mobile product design and have worked on 350+ mobile apps, so KEEPLI was never designed as a standalone illustration. From the beginning, it was created as a character capable of living inside a real digital product.
For this project, I developed:
a distinctive silhouette and personality
a system of emotional states
a custom wordmark and app icon
a sticker pack
mascot integration across the mobile interface
a physical keepsake kit
🎯 Result
The result is a cohesive mascot system that remains recognizable across the mobile app, brand identity, stickers, and physical applications.
My portfolio already includes mascots created for real mobile products, some of which were also developed with Recraft. KEEPLI, however, is an original concept created specifically for this challenge as a complete character, brand, and product system.

Fyah is the mascot of The Yard, a club for hot sauce lovers. At first glance, Fyah looks tough: furrowed brows, a stare that doesn't impress easy. He's picky, curious, and judges every bite before he approves it. But nobody's ready for what happens when he finds the perfect heat.

Emoo is the mascot of an emotional learning platform that helps children recognize, express, and navigate their emotions with kindness. Designed as a character-first brand, Emooo extends across apps, books, animation, and everyday products, creating a playful world where emotional growth feels safe, approachable, and joyful.
Character Brief
Meet Emoo, a gentle baby Highland cow and emotional companion who lives in the Meadow Between Feelings, a magical world where emotions take the form of soft glowing symbols. Curious, patient, and endlessly compassionate, Emoo helps children understand big feelings by gently reflecting them through the changing symbol on its heart. Rather than fixing emotions, Emooo reminds children that every feeling deserves to be seen, understood, and accepted.
The World
In the Meadow Between Feelings, every emotion has its own magical symbol: ❤️ Empathy, ☀️ Joy, ☁️ Sadness, ⚡ Anger, 🍃 Calm, 🌱 Hope, and ❓ Curiosity. Each symbol begins as a soft felt icon and gently glows once a feeling has been acknowledged, reinforcing the idea that emotions transform when they're understood.
