Today's design exploration started with a Dribbble inspiration piece.
Rather than copying it directly, I challenged myself to reinterpret the concept and experiment with a completely different visual direction.
The original inspiration uses vibrant blue and orange colors to create an energetic feel, while my version leans into a darker, more premium aesthetic.
A great exercise in studying design principles and then applying them through your own lens.

Dark mode for sure. The colorful version feels more generic for the language learning space, but the darker aesthetic gives it a premium edge that makes it stand out. Curious if you tested with actual users.

Hero 1 for me
Crown pairs surprisingly well with that mountain texture, most crown marks lean literal but the asterisk treatment keeps it abstract. Prism's diagonal cut mark is doing the most work of the four for me.
I've been designing two hero directions for Christopher's Waterside Barber, same badge logo, same headline, same "Reserve Your Seat" CTA. Two completely different ways to set the tone.💈
