I decided to resubmit my video promo because I didn't put the explanation video showing my process while using Envato and those can be really helpful to other people that are going to be doing their Envato submissions.
I think discovery is the most relevant "Human by Design" moment... not correcting a mistake or a design change. We do that too when we collaborate with other people, but discovery is an exclusively human sport. We are the curators of taste, the creative funnel of inspiration. Yes, tools make it faster, and we can now follow every spark to create whatever we want. But that inspiration comes mostly from the need for constant discovery in our ever-changing world.

"Discovery is an exclusively human sport" is a great way to put it - tools speed up execution but they don't go looking for the thing that sparks the idea in the first place. What does your discovery process actually look like day to day, mood boards, random scrolling, something more structured?
Thank you Maty! My most used process is to walk for and hour or two with a project rough idea in mind. I then voice save any ideas that come into my head. Then start searching visual variables for clarity and then use a cheap image model to test to taste.

For the #envatochallenge, I created AMARÉLLA using Envato Elements as my master toolkit. Here is how my human choices elevated the AI:
- The Logo: I used Envato Fonts for inspiration, then customized the letters with organic, leaf-like curves over a raw circular stamp to give it a human touch.
- The Packaging: The first flat box dieline had messy, clashing text. I redesigned it by adding clean panel lines, turning the product name sideways, and adding pretty plant drawings at the base for perfect balance.
- The Bottles: I rejected plastic and designed a heavy, custom stone-and-clay flask.
- The Videos: I used our Envato model photo as a reference and directed the AI to generate raw, slow-motion, black-and-white clips. Keeping the bottle quietly in the background allowed us to capture real, honest human emotion without issues.
- The Sound: I tied it all together with a warm, minimalist acoustic track from Envato Music.
- Toolkit: @envato Elements (Fonts, Stock Images, Music, Image Gen, Image Edit, and VideoGen)

My workflow

I designed the product, the identity, the packaging and the campaign, then made a 68-second promo about the one thing film gives you that your phone can't: you can't check the shot. You just have to be there.
Envato is the entire film. The character and the camera were generated with Envato AI. The Los Angeles she moves through the crowds, the light, the beach, the night market is Envato stock. The type is Envato. The grain and textures are Envato.
The decisions that mattered were the ones the model kept fighting me on. I put her in a shirt and tie at the beach no model would ever do that, it's "wrong," and the wrongness is exactly why you can't look away. I made her never once look at the camera she's holding, because the absence of that action is the whole argument of the film, and a model can't understand that not doing something is the meaning. And I forced the flash ugly flat, harsh, unflattering because that's what film flash actually looks like, and every generation wanted to make it beautiful.
Machines optimise toward correct. I kept choosing wrong on purpose.

*Humanizing an AI Kid's Coffee Brand*
For this challenge, I developed a complete brand identity for a fictional kid's coffee brand (Детско Кафе- In Cyrillic alphabet as my primary script, I felt it would be a unique decision), documenting every stage of the creative process from exploration to execution. Using Envato as my primary creative toolkit, I explored multiple directions across logo design, visual identity, custom graphics and patterns, AI-assisted imagery, music and sound generation, packaging design, and a short animated brand story inspired by authentic photos from our family trips, transformed into playful doodle illustrations.
Throughout the project, I intentionally highlight the moments where human intuition made the difference, rejecting stronger looking but weaker concepts, redesigning typography and composition, solving real-world print and packaging challenges, building a cohesive visual system, and shaping a brand personality that feels playful, memorable, and emotionally authentic.
This isn't the story of what AI helped create, it's the story of the decisions that only a designer could make.
