For Liberty is a Revolutionary War survival-horror limited series set in the Pennsylvania winter of 1778, where an inexperienced American general leads a starving regiment into the wilderness to avenge their captured commander, only to discover the British are gone and the storm is already closing in. When the general seeks aid from an old comrade, a trusted American officer with provisions to spare, he is poisoned over a candlelit game of chess, leaving his men stranded, leaderless, and underfed in a blizzard that turns patriotism into panic. What begins as a mission of vengeance becomes a descent into exposure, betrayal, disease, and cannibalism, as the enemy stops being the British, the weather, or even war itself, and becomes the brutal arithmetic of human survival.
