Packaging design is something I just love doing, not simply because of the visual possibilities it offers, but because it gives me an opportunity to translate research, strategy and creative thinking into something that people can instantly understand and connect with. Before I think about colours, typography, forms or imagery, I spend time understanding the product, its audience, the category it belongs to, the competitive landscape and the cultural and behavioural cues that influence how that particular demographic sees and interacts with products.

For me, the most interesting part is taking all of that research and turning it into a visual interpretation that feels natural to the audience it is designed for. Every creative decision has a reason behind it, whether that is a particular colour language that creates familiarity, a typographic direction that establishes personality, an illustration style that makes the product feel more approachable, or a composition that helps it stand apart in a crowded category. I enjoy finding that balance between what the research tells me and where creative intuition can take the idea.

This project is one example of how I approach packaging as more than just an attractive surface, where the final outcome is a visual expression of the product, its positioning and the people it is meant to reach. The challenge I enjoy most is taking something that begins with research and strategy and transforming it into a design that feels relevant, distinctive and intuitive, because when the thinking behind the design is right, the visuals have a much stronger reason to exist.
