𝗜 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟵𝟬𝘀. Back then, life was simple. No mobile phones, no OTT, no watching a new movie every other week. English movies? Forget it, that wasn't even part of our world. But we had one thing that gave us our first taste of a superhero universe, way before Shaktiman ever aired on TV. That one source was comics. We grew up with 𝗡𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗷, 𝗗𝗵𝗿𝘂𝘃, 𝗗𝗼𝗴𝗮, and 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂. We solved mysteries alongside Secret Agent Ram Rahim and Crookbond. We laughed our hearts out with Fighter Toads and Hawaldaar Bahadur. Every one of us, at some point, dreamed of being a superhero kicking some serious villain ass. Then life happened. College, jobs, deadlines. We got busy, and we forgot those simple but incredibly interesting stories. In 2006, I found my way back. Collected a good pile of old comics, sat down, and read them all over again. It felt like meeting an old friend. Then life pulled me away again. A few days ago, I was hunting for old Ram Rahim reprints and stumbled onto a website called JH Comics. They actually stock this stuff. I placed an order, and it arrived right on time. But while I was there, one thing stuck with me: the website itself didn't feel like it belonged to the world it was selling. No comic book energy, no visual personality, nothing that made me feel the way those covers used to. So I did what any restless designer would do. I redesigned it. Cream paper tones, bold ink black, halftone textures, tilted cover art, stamp badges. The idea was simple: if you're selling nostalgia, the shopping experience should feel like nostalgia too. I'm not fully sure if I nailed the direction. But here it is, as a first draft, open to eyes, opinions, and honest feedback. If you also grew up chasing Nagraj through Bombay's alleys or watching Doga hunt criminals with a dog mask on, I'd love to hear which comic shaped your childhood. ♻️ Repost if Indian comics were your first superhero universe. #IndianComics #Nagraj #Doga #RajComics #DesignConcept #UIUX #Nostalgia #WebRedesign

Cover image for Zerodha Stock SIP: UX Redesign
Zerodha Stock SIP: UX Redesign for First Time Investors Weekend Hackathon #123 submission. The challenge was to simplify Zerodha's Stock SIP creation screen for new investors who may not know what a SIP is. The judging focused on copy, terminology, and cognitive load. My approach: I treated this as a copywriting and simplification problem, not a restyling job. The original screen leans on broker language like instalments, instruments, and until cancelled, which blocks a beginner at the first line. Key decisions: Added a one line explainer of what a SIP is, right under the title Reordered the flow so choosing stocks comes first, with popular starter picks to remove the empty state Collapsed four separate dropdowns into a single readable sentence for the plan Replaced scary commitment language with a plain reassurance line: no lock-in, pause or stop anytime Kept Zerodha's Kite identity intact with clean white and Kite blue I also fact checked the copy. Zerodha has no minimum SIP amount, but whole share rounding makes a fixed low figure like ₹100 misleading, so the benefit line reads "no minimum amount" instead. Deliverable: one desktop screen, one fold, no annotations, as per the brief. Open to product and UX work around fintech, SaaS, and AI products. Let's talk. #uxdesign #productdesign #fintech #zerodha #uidesign #designinspiration #productmanagement #designcommunity

Cover image for VÉRNOIR was created as a
VÉRNOIR was created as a hypothetical premium coffee brand to explore that overlooked moment. This case study shows how AI was used to design a calm, night-first visual identity built around focus, restraint, and human psychology, not caffeine claims. Most coffee branding is built for mornings. Energy. Speed. Productivity. But many people meet coffee at night. When focus matters more than momentum. The project covers: – Product-first visual design – Human-led storytelling – Late-night work rituals as a design input Coffee after dark feels different. So should the brand. Sharing the full case study on my blog. - https://lnkd.in/g9PF52-N (https://innovatewithamaan.com/ai-visuals-and-brand-imagery/)Curious to hear how others think about night-time rituals and design decisions.

Cover image for Redesigned the IRCTC e-catering order
Redesigned the IRCTC e-catering order status screen for Weekend Hackathon #120. The Challenge: IRCTC passengers need confidence that their food will arrive hot and on time, even during a moving train journey. The original status screen was dense, had poor text contrast, and didn't communicate the delivery timeline clearly. The Solution: I focused on three things: Narrative First: Used a real photograph of a train winding through misty mountains at dawn as the hero. Two gradient scrims (top and bottom) ensure the header and caption remain readable without competing with the image. The photo sets the mood: you're on a journey, and your food understands that. Journey Clarity: A horizontal progress timeline shows exactly where your order is (placed, confirmed, preparing, on the way, delivered). No confusion about next steps. Accessibility & Polish: Proper contrast ratios (5.7:1 minimum on the header, 11:1 on the caption), tabular numerals for the delivery code and times so they don't shift, 44px touch targets with visible press and focus states, and full support for reduced-motion preferences. The design fits the first fold only. No annotations. Clean, human, ready to use.
