Velvet: Roses — Editorial Magazine Concept
I recently designed Velvet: Roses, a high-fashion editorial magazine concept focused on celebrating modern Black beauty and refined fashion photography.
This project explores warmth, luxury, and contrast — pairing rich gold accents and structured typography with the stunning work of Adebayo Foluso (@one_tallboy). His photography became the foundation of the visual direction, influencing the colour palette, layout balance, and overall tone of the magazine.
Using Photoshop for image refinement and mockups, and Figma for layout systems and typography hierarchy, I developed a cohesive editorial identity that allows the photography to remain the hero while maintaining a strong, modern brand presence.

The idea was to create a vibrant design that has bright colours and nounish elements, hence i incorporated an illustration of my "Collective Noun #429" NFT, which is a Crocodile character, with a gnarly pose🔥

VELVET REGAL is a conceptual editorial design project created for my portfolio.
The visuals were generated using a structured prompt designed to simulate a luxury studio portrait: controlled lighting, deep red velvet backdrop, formal imperial styling, and consistent camera framing. Multiple iterations were generated from the same prompt to maintain visual continuity across all images.
Selected images were refined in Photoshop for color balance, texture consistency, and compositional alignment. The final magazine covers and spreads were designed in Figma, focusing on editorial hierarchy, typography, and grid systems.
