## The CorelDraw moment
A college senior ran a graphic design workshop. One session. I'd never seen anyone make something from scratch on a screen like that. I was immediately, completely hooked.
## The detour that wasn't
My engineering path stalled. Instead of fighting it, I leaned fully into design for the first time, self-teaching through YouTube, building things daily just because I wanted to. Turned out to be the best thing that could have happened.

## First real job. First real everything.
Joined a two-person marketing startup as a part-time designer. Within a month I was full-time and the only designer. Taught myself Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, on live briefs, real deadlines. There was no other way.
## Employee #1 at Trove
Joined a brand that barely existed. Built the website, the visual language, the social system, everything from scratch. Watched it grow from 150 to 10K followers while I was there. Today they're at 100K+, still using the templates I made.

## Senior Designer. Global scale.
Landed a Senior Designer role at YouGov, reporting to the global head of design in London and collaborating daily across Mumbai, Mexico City, and London. Built and extended the layout and template systems that kept a fast-growing volume of work on-brand across four regions. Worked directly with the CMO.
## New country. New chapter.
Moved to Seattle. Started over in a new market. Enrolled in UX & Visual Interface Design at University of Washington. Designed the Roots app.

## Big screens. Bigger plans.
Joined WTW to build the systems behind a large global brand, a universal grid and master templates designed to work across print, digital, and decks, in the hands of people who aren't designers.
