I was inspired by Pieter Claesz’s 1628 vanitas still life, Still Life with a Skull and a Writing Quill, which uses objects such as a skull, candle, quill, book, and glassware to reflect on the passage of time and the fleeting nature of life.
A mysterious black hole appears above a quiet city, slowly changing reality itself. Shadows vanish, sound disappears, and a strange world emerges inside the darkness. But when the impossible city begins moving, we discover something far more terrifying—it may be our own future.
