How Retainers Work

Flexible Monthly Hours Get a set number of design hours each month to use however you need—ideal for ongoing work, iterations, or unexpected tasks.

Priority Access Retainer clients receive first-in-line scheduling and faster turnaround times, ensuring your design work always keeps momentum.

Seamless Collaboration I’ll stay closely aligned with your team, offering consistent support and strategic input to keep everything on-brand and on-target.

Clear, Transparent Reporting At the end of each month, you’ll receive a summary of completed work, time tracked, and what’s ahead—so you’re always in the loop.

Process

Initial meeting: We will discuss your ideas and define your requirements, like what type of Framer website you need, design style, timelines, market and competitors, deliverables and launch or go-to-market strategies.

Project research: I will then research your market, audience and other websites to compare it with existing standards. I can then confirm the deliverables and make further recommendations to ensure will create something that holds high value.

Website designing (optional): if you do not have an existing website design, I will design the UI of your website in Figma based on reference materials and your brand assets; logos, colors etc. All my designs are conversion focused using modern and trusted design principles.

Website development: Next, I will build your website in Framer from Figma or migrate your existing website to Framer. I will use my front-end development experience to optimize performance, SEO, responsiveness and accessibility. All my website are tested across various devices and to meet expectations for performance.

Feedback: Once the homepage is ready, I will share a live link to get your feedback. This ensures we are communicating early on so I can deliver exactly what you need. You can review this link to keep track of further developments during the project. For larger projects I will invite you to Trello so we can communicate in detail on various deliverables.

Iterations (if needed): I take great care to ensure the website behaves accurately across different devices, but should you need any iterations or notice a bug (rare, but can happen), just let me know and I'll make the adjustments.

Final website review: I will confirm when the website is ready for final sign-off. You can then check all website pages, sections, etc and send any final review notes (if necessary).

Project delivery: I will send you a Framer Remix link where you can duplicate the website project to your Framer account. I'm always here if you need domain or technical support when launching your website. I can provide a checklist (optional) you can follow to ensure all the correct steps are taken for a website launch.

I will always be in touch with you from the moment you book this service. Be it during the start of the project, during project development and post-project as well to suggest improvements, receive feedback and offer support 🤝

How many hours are included in a retainer?
Retainers are flexible and can range from 20 to 80 hours per month, depending on your needs. We’ll determine the right number of hours during the initial consultation.
Can unused hours roll over to the next month?
Unused hours do not roll over, as retainers are designed for consistent, ongoing work. However, I’ll ensure we prioritize tasks effectively to make the most of your hours.
What types of design tasks can you handle?
I can work on UX/UI design, wireframes, prototypes, usability testing, design systems, feature updates, and more. If you’re unsure, just ask!
How do you manage communication?
I offer asynchronous updates via tools like Slack, Trello, email, or Contra, and provide weekly check-ins to keep everything on track. I can also work within existing workflows like Jira, Asana or Linear if needed.
What happens if I need more hours in a month?
If you need additional support, we can discuss adding extra hours at a discounted rate or adjusting your retainer for the following month.
Is there a minimum commitment?
Yes, retainers require a minimum 3-month commitment to ensure enough time for meaningful results.
