🎮 Space Luno — Gameplay & Responsiveness Showcase
This post shows a gameplay showcase of Space Luno, focusing on how responsive and adaptive the experience is across different interactions and screen contexts.
Everything you see — gameplay, UI, animations, and logic — runs entirely inside Rive. The responsiveness of inputs, state changes, and transitions made it possible to create a smooth, game-like experience without relying on a traditional game engine.
Rive handled complex interactions, real-time feedback, and UI adaptation surprisingly well, making iteration fast and the final result feel polished and consistent.
This project reinforced how powerful Rive can be when used not just for animation, but as an interactive platform.

Games with Rive Challenge
Space Luno is a fast-paced arcade survival game built entirely in Rive for the Games with Rive Challenge.
All visuals, animations, UI, interactions, and gameplay logic were created using Rive State Machines, Rive Scripts, Data Bindings, and ViewModels only, with no external engines or frameworks.
Players control Luno in an endless space run where speed increases score and risk. Fuel drains constantly, you have three lives, and power-ups like shield, weapon upgrades, boost, and fuel help you survive. While boosting, the player is invincible.
Luno, the character in the HUD, reacts in real time to player actions and game events. This was my first experience with Rive Scripts, challenging at first, then smooth to iterate and maintain.

I’m showcasing part of the development of League of Stars, an educational app that uses AI to support students in their academic journey.
In this demo, Rive brings life to the interface through dynamic animations powered by real-time data. The goal is to create an engaging learning experience where every interaction feels responsive and alive.
