Cover image for Strategy, the Orange Whale, Rides
Strategy, the Orange Whale, Rides Bitcoin’s Price Wave to Accumulate BTC >> What inspired me to create this graphic for my Bitcoin Treasury article?   I created this graphic using ChatGPT for my article on Strategy's Bitcoin acquisition and capital-market strategy.   Web3 has its own entertainment and celebrity personas — and in the Bitcoin world, Strategy has become something of a corporate Bitcoin celebrity, with its BTC acquisition strategy closely associated with Michael Saylor.   Strategy is currently the largest corporate Bitcoin holder, with 846,000 BTC, representing around 4.03% of Bitcoin's total supply.   But accumulating a huge Bitcoin treasury isn't simply a matter of buying BTC and HODLING it.   During bearish market phases, falling BTC prices can reduce the value of a company's Bitcoin holdings and put pressure on its balance sheet and liquidity — particularly when the company also has debt, interest and dividend obligations.   Strategy experienced these pressures when BTC declined toward the $60,000s. The company sold part of its BTC holdings and paused Bitcoin purchases for more than two months.   Then the market changed. In August, BTC moved from around $62,000 toward $78,000, and Strategy ended its Bitcoin-purchase pause by acquiring 4,603 BTC. In September, BTC moved further toward $87,000, establishing a potential higher support zone around $80,800. And Strategy appeared again — purchasing another 950 BTC. That's what inspired the visual. Strategy is portrayed as the Orange Corporate Whale, riding Bitcoin's appreciation wave and accumulating more BTC while the wave is strong enough to wash the bears away. Michael Saylor gives a thumbs-up, geared up to buy more of this orange crypto as its price moves into an upward phase.   But behind the playful visual is a more serious financial mechanism.   Strategy has developed a capital-market framework involving: BTC accumulation MSTR equity Preferred securities such as STRC USD Cash and USD Reserve Debt management Preferred-stock dividends Share buybacks   These mechanisms provide Strategy with liquidity and flexibility when Bitcoin markets become difficult.   My article explores how BTC's appreciation since August percolated through Strategy's capital markets, improving the conditions for further Bitcoin purchases.   Read the full article: https://nodewalker.substack.com/p/how-rising-btc-prices-created-favorable

Cover image for Exploring Polkadot 2.0’s Agile Coretime
Exploring Polkadot 2.0’s Agile Coretime through a visual concept I created this banner using ChatGPT to visually explain how Polkadot 2.0 changes the way its decentralized compute resources can be allocated to Rollup chains.   The central idea I wanted the visual to communicate: One Core → shared computational resource → multiple Rollup chains   In Polkadot 1, a project that secured a dedicated Core through the parachain auction had access to the computational resources of that Core for its lease period.   This meant that when the project did not require the Core’s full computational capacity, some of that resource could remain underutilised.   Polkadot 2.0’s Agile Coretime introduces a more flexible way of accessing these resources. The visual represents this by showing: Rollup Chain A → 40% of the Core’s resource Rollup Chain B → 35% of the Core’s resource Remaining capacity → available for other usage   The purpose of the visual is not to represent an exact protocol allocation, but to make the underlying resource-allocation concept easier to understand:   Projects can acquire Coretime according to their requirements, share or split Coretime, sell unused Coretime, and acquire additional Coretime when they need to scale.   I created this visual as part of my article exploring Polkadot 2.0’s Agile Coretime framework and how it aims to make Polkadot’s computational resources more efficiently accessible to Rollup projects.   Article: https://substack.com/home/post/p-216710789 #Polkadot #Web3 #Blockchain #Coretime #Crypto

Cover image for Last week, I created this
Last week, I created this banner for my story using ChatGPT –   “From Box of Parts to Cat Tower: My DIY Adventure Assembling a Tall Cat Tree”   The story can be read here: Read the story on Publish0x (https://www.publish0x.com/my-covid-19-life-experiences/from-box-of-parts-to-cat-tower-my-diy-adventure-assembling-a-xjyvkjr?utm_source=chatgpt.com)   The story is about my assembly experience with the Skatrs Cloud Nine Cat Tree, and the difficult task of assembling a 5-ft cat tree.   At first, I was very doubtful about whether I would actually be able to assemble it. When the giant box containing all the unassembled parts arrived, it kept reminding me that this was indeed going to be a difficult task for me.   Yet, I took the first steps and began the assembly methodically.   I sorted the cat-tree parts, checked whether all the required pieces were there, and finally started assembling it. I inserted the poles into the platforms, screwed them together, and gradually built the cat tree floor by floor.   Finally, I did it!   The heavy box containing several pieces — platform slabs, poles, fabric-covered sections and screws — had transformed into an elegant cat tree with plenty of utility for my cats.   My cat Mochu enjoys hanging out on the cat tree, sitting at a height, stretching and scratching on its various scratching posts, and lying inside the enclosed den spaces. There are two enclosed spaces on the tree.   For me, this was like solving a challenging puzzle. It involved physical effort, patience and figuring things out as I went along.   And then my cat Garu immediately towered over me, standing on top of the cat tree as if to say, “Well done!” 🐈   That was a very satisfying moment. I felt a quiet sense of pride after assembling a 5-ft cat tree that I had initially felt I might not be capable of assembling.   And this adventure has once again made me more confident about taking up challenging tasks that I might otherwise have been afraid to attempt.
