Urban Goth – Between Sigil and Street

Client Brief

Urban Goth is a fashion supply brand born at the intersection of dark rebellion and modern streetwear. The client wanted an identity that resonates with the gothic subculture—mysterious, raw, and expressive—while blending in contemporary, urban edge. The goal was to sidestep cliché gothic tropes and instead create a fresh, stylish, and culturally sharp brand that speaks fluently to the new-wave goth: part punk, part runway, all attitudes.

Design Solution

The Urban Goth identity system fuses contrast and complexity to tell a story of duality—past and future, tradition and rebellion, darkness and bold modernity. The logomark, a custom interlocking monogram, draws influence from ancient sigils and modern geometric graffiti, acting as a visual totem of urban mysticism. The custom type is angular, sharp, and slightly chaotic—mirroring the non-conformist spirit of the brand while maintaining clean, structured readability. The Ø and fragmented letterforms evoke occult and Nordic-inspired typographic cues, grounding the design in gothic heritage with a futuristic twist. Set against a stark black backdrop, the brand exudes boldness, mystery, and unmistakable cool. It’s not just fashion—it’s a lifestyle built from shadow and steel.
