The Challenge The Cansaas team set out to redesign the way distributed teams collaborate — not just another video meeting tool, but a smart, AI-powered meeting platform built for clarity, focus, and actionable insights. The challenge? Combining seamless video conferencing with real-time transcription, live sentiment reactions, and collaborative summaries — all within a single, elegant workspace that feels human, not corporate.

The Process We began with in-depth user research to understand pain points in remote collaboration: cognitive overload, scattered notes, and disengaged participants. From there, we crafted an intuitive interface centered around focus — speaker-first layouts, ambient emotion reactions, and integrated AI Assistants that help transcribe, summarize, and even suggest better wording live. We built everything around one key principle: let users connect, not click around.

The Challenge Faced One major challenge was designing for flow without distractions. With so many smart features — transcript edits, emoji reactions, live suggestions — it was easy to overcomplicate. We tackled this by layering utility in context: what you need shows up when you need it, from subtle microinteractions to simplified meeting controls.
