Unless you’re a robot, or by some magical way you have everything figured out in your life and everything seems to go exactly how you imagined them, chances are you’ve been stressed out before!
Having a lot of work, kids causing trouble or maybe just something you’re worried about, can all be overwhelming and you might need to take a break for some time just to clear your mind.
Trust me, I know how you feel!
Which is why I’m gonna show you 3 steps that can be done by anyone, that will not only lower your stress but also help you be more productive throughout your day and live a better and healthier life!
1. Get enough sleep
A huge part of your stress might be that you’re not getting enough sleep. Even if you don’t have a busy schedule, a lack of sufficient amount of sleep can make you feel exhausted early on in the day and you’ll feel stressed by even the smallest of challenges.
A good 6-8 hours of sleep is essential in maintaining a good productivity rate during the day and in dealing with whatever is going on in your life with the right mental capacity.
2. Exercise
If you can get yourself a gym membership, that’s great!
Aside from building your dream body, completing a workout will give you a sense of accomplishment and you’ll feel in more control of your day.
However, if you can’t get a gym membership or you just don’t have the time for a 1-2 hour workout, simple exercises like walking 15 minutes a day, yoga, or meditation can also go a long way.
This will help you relax and relieve all that built up tension!
3. Take slow, deep breaths
Sometimes you might find yourself in situations which just require little effort to resolve but because you’re stressed out you let your emotions get the best of you and end up making the wrong decision or behaving in an unnecessary way.
So whenever you’re stressed out or in a stressful situation, take a few minutes to just breathe. Taking slow and deep breaths will lower your heart rate and calm you down.
You’ll be surprised how a few deep breaths can effectively open your mind to better thinking and help you gain some perspective in your day-to-day activities.
There you have it! By following these steps you’re sure to have a healthier, stress-free day!
