The interface blends functionality and aesthetics — balancing soft gradients, clear typography, and well-structured data visualization. The warm orange palette and fluid card layout create a sense of familiarity and trust, turning financial tracking into a calm and empowering experience.

Many finance apps overwhelm users with cluttered data and complex navigation, making it difficult to stay consistent with budgeting. People often abandon these tools because the experience feels transactional rather than insightful. We identified this challenge and aimed to design a system that transforms financial tracking into an intuitive journey — one that not only displays numbers but also motivates better money habits through clear visual feedback and hierarchy.

The “Before” screen used harsh color contrast between chart bars and background, creating visual tension. The “After” design applies a balanced, soft orange palette with consistent hierarchy, making it easier on the eyes and more professional. This refinement improves emotional response and confidence in the data, reflecting NN/g’s aesthetic-usability effect, where clean visuals enhance perceived quality and usability.
