Crimson Drip — Technical Apparel Design & 3D POD Specification
1. Overview
A comprehensive streetwear apparel project featuring high-impact graphic design, custom 3D model visualization, and complete CAD manufacturing spec sheets for an All-Over-Print (AOP) women’s t-shirt collection.
2. The Challenge
Bridging the gap between high-contrast artwork and physical garment manufacturing in print-on-demand (POD) production. Bold liquid/drip visual motifs often suffer from graphic clipping across sleeve seams, awkward drape distortion on 3D models, or missing technical specs that lead to print misalignments.
3. The Solution and Technical Execution
Developed an end-to-end production workflow combining high-resolution vector artwork, precise garment mapping, and complete factory specification sheets:
3D Visualization & Mapping: Engineered realistic 3D model mockups featuring accurate lighting and dynamic drape to showcase full-panel artwork placement before sample production.
Sleeve & Panel Continuity: Mapped fluid "drip" accents across set-in short sleeve seams to maintain visual rhythm across the front and back panels.
CAD Technical Specification Sheet: Designed a studio-grade Tech Pack detailing flat seam construction, 190 GSM single jersey knit (96% cotton / 4% elastane), flatlock hem details, and precise colorway specs (#000000 Obsidian Black, #D00000 Crimson Red, #FFFFFF Pure White).
4. Deliverables & Results
Production-ready AOP artwork files optimized for screen printing and dye sublimation.
Photorealistic 3D promotional mockups for e-commerce storefronts and social marketing.
Version 1.0 Technical Specification CAD Sheet ready for direct factory sampling.
