LIORA — Home Fragrance Brand Identity & Packaging Design
Project Overview
LIORA is a refined home-fragrance brand concept inspired by the quiet beauty of nature and the feeling of calm, intentional spaces.
The brand was created around the idea:
“Light drifts softly through every space.”
I wanted LIORA to feel poetic, serene, refined, and contemporary—a brand that transforms everyday home-fragrance rituals into something more personal and memorable.
The entire visual identity was designed to communicate softness and sophistication, from the elegant wordmark and muted color palette to the fragrance packaging and tactile brand applications.
The Creative Direction
The visual direction takes inspiration from soft light, natural textures, water, petals, earth, and quiet landscapes.
Rather than using strong or overly decorative fragrance aesthetics, I explored a more restrained approach built around:
Warm ivory backgrounds
Soft pastel tones
Delicate serif typography
Minimal layouts
Subtle botanical references
Natural textures
Fine-line illustrations
Spacious compositions
Soft photography
The result is a visual system that feels calm, premium, feminine, and timeless while maintaining a contemporary character.
Brand Story
LIORA is positioned around the idea of creating serene home-fragrance rituals inspired by nature's quiet poetry.
Each fragrance is presented as its own sensory experience, with names such as:
Sun Thread • Pale Nectar • Blush Cedar • Rain Reed • Quiet Meadow
These names informed the visual language and color system, allowing each fragrance to have its own subtle personality while remaining part of the same LIORA family.
My Role
I developed the project as a Brand & Packaging Designer, working across the identity, visual direction, packaging system, and brand applications.
My responsibilities included:
Brand Identity Design
Logo & Wordmark Design
Packaging Design
Art Direction
Typography
Color System
Graphic Language
Brand Guidelines
Product Presentation
Visual Storytelling
The Design Challenge
The challenge was to create a home-fragrance brand that felt premium without becoming overly luxurious, and natural without falling into a predictable organic-brand aesthetic.
I approached this by keeping the design restrained and allowing typography, proportion, subtle color, texture, and whitespace to carry the personality.
The packaging was designed to feel like something that belongs naturally within a carefully considered interior rather than simply functioning as a product container.
Outcome
LIORA became a complete visual identity and packaging system built around a quiet, sensory brand experience.
From the flowing wordmark to the pastel fragrance system, from the architectural packaging to the natural mood direction, every element was designed to communicate the same idea:
Fragrance as atmosphere. Fragrance as ritual. Fragrance as memory.
The result is a brand that feels poetic, refined, contemporary, and deeply connected to the quiet beauty of nature.
