Oral-B iOS App to Sync with the Power Toothbrush

An iOS app that syncs with an Oral-B power brush to capture a user’s daily brushing habits. Brushing data would then be used to establish healthy oral hygiene habits guided by a dental professional. I designed the UX and UI for the Focused Care feature of the Oral-B iOS app. The brand style guide had been previously established by the client and I extended it to accommodate Focused Care UI elements. Focusing on the dental professional’s journey, I highlighted specific points in need of care easy and intuitive. I borrowed from app interaction models, typically found in mapping applications, that allowed users to add care instructions to highlighted points while understanding where they were located spatially within the oral map. Care instructions were then integrated into the daily brushing timer to remind the user of areas in need of additional care.
