My Role

Complete brand design, create and maintain a Design System for the brand, facilitate content ideation workshops, and complete website design, development, and maintenance on Elementor WordPress and involve in growth and marketing strategy

The back story

I was one of the early employees and the only designer in the team of 3 developers, a Growth expert, a Business Intelligence professional, and a marketing expert, a completely remote team. From the time I joined the team, I got to design and ship three different landing pages for three different products Striga made. The first one was a B2C website for a payment app, then for a crypto-friendly Business banking app, and finally the website for a crypto & banking API platform.

The design process

I kickstarted by understanding the product and the business model, then the needs and pain points of our target users from the data collected on the existing users of the consumer product. Listing down the values and features of the product and making a wireframe of the content structure was the next step. Before getting on the visual design, I wanted to finalize the most probable content on the landing page.  For this, I devised a content ideation workshop with the team. Then came finalizing the style guide for the website, which went through multiple iterations as the product pivoted.

Facilitating content ideation workshops

Though I had experience facilitating ideation workshops before, this was the first time to do it completely remote. The agenda was to complete the final content for the website landing page and a few additional pages within 2 hours. Overall the first workshop turned out to be a success with the desired outcome and the team thoroughly enjoyed the exercise. This led to arranging a few other workshops for other products' website content.

Crypto & Banking app for businesses

Crypto & Banking for businesses was another product Striga was trying on at the time and I made the landing page and pricing page for this. The process for design and development was similar to the website for the B2C app. Since the product users were very different from the previous one, additional interviews were conducted with early-stage founders in the crypto space who were looking for banking. The style guide was updated for having multiple products under Striga’s belt.

Product pivot into an API platform

In early 2022, we pivoted to focus on only one product, a Crypto and Banking API platform. As a designer, it was completely new territory for me to design a website for B2B crypto Banking as a Service platform. Getting the company to product market fit was the overarching goal of the entire team. Quickly understanding the goals, needs, and pain points of our assumed potential clients and actively participating in growth and marketing strategy to validate our assumptions was part of my role.

Final outcome

Getting good SEO was a priority and for this, it was important to add quality content and make the Striga website have over 500 pages. So that is what we did and I solely designed, created them on WordPress, focused on making it mobile responsive, and maintained the complete website. One key success metric for the website was that we had over 100 potential leads applying to us through the website.
