Problem Statement

How might we incentivize and create a seamless, efficient method for users to learn and perform workouts accurately, while engaging with instructional content from trainers, using the redgefit equipments.

Challenges

Problem 1:

Fitness enthusiasts exploring new workout routines were seeking more detailed and reliable reviews to make informed decisions, but the app lacked comprehensive information on various exercises and their effectiveness.

Problem 2:

The app suffered from cluttered features that were underutilized by users, leading to a cumbersome and confusing user experience. Additionally, the app lacked integration with popular fitness tracking platforms like Google Fit and Apple Health, hindering seamless data synchronization and limiting users' ability to monitor their fitness progress effectively. These issues posed obstacles to the app's usability and overall appeal to fitness enthusiasts.

Problem 3:

To revamp the pay wall strategy to minimize costs while maximizing user benefits and stakeholder returns. Introducing micro pricing packages aims to offer flexible options for users and optimize revenue generation for the business.
Redesigning an interactive experience to achieve goals without a gym, ensuring minimal developer effort, and meeting tight schedule demands. Empowering, efficient, and user-centric design.

Process and Iterations

After a few iterations, we decided to eliminate some unused features based on user feedback. We also added more value by highlighting fitness metrics from Google Fit and Apple Health app. We went through several design thinking steps to achieve this, including empathizing with users, defining the problem, ideating solutions, prototyping, and testing with users.

Final Design

The design shipped was a totally new experience. . Users could now offer detailed reviews with just a few taps on the app.

Paywall

We strategically divided the entire experience into three parts, allowing users to focus on specific sections they wanted to fill. This user-centric approach streamlined the feedback process and enhanced overall user satisfaction.

My take and Future Improvement Ideas

Upgrading with new iconsets and animations

Adding new icons and animations enhances user experience. Icons show which body parts each workout targets, aiding quick understanding. More lottie animations bring vibrancy, making the fitness journey enjoyable and motivating.

Showcase User-Generated Content Gallery on Review Page

This would allow users to share their fitness challenges, workouts, and classes, inspiring and motivating others in the community. By fostering a sense of camaraderie and empowerment, the UGC Gallery can enhance the overall user experience and encourage collective fitness achievements.
