Rankle aims to provide users (Genzs) with a platform to share their memorable moments through challenges. Users have the freedom to join challenges with their friends and rate each other's captured moments. I was the sole designer on this project.

Designing a social media app, i have encountered key challenges that demanded innovative solutions. Firstly, we needed to find ways to streamline the capturing and rating processes, ensuring they were intuitive and enjoyable for users. Secondly, we had to navigate technical constraints, striking a balance between these limitations and the desired app functionality. The goal was to create a seamless user experience that meets both user expectations and technical feasibility.

Crazy 8 is one of my favorite exercises to explore one idea. This way, you get to make tangible any decision or concept you might have that could help build a more iterated version of your idea.

Specifically in this project helped me think about constraints and characteristics to consider later on in the process, it supported my decision to move on with a specific concept.

I created an IA Chart to help me organise content of the application.

I took the hand-drawn sketches and turned them into basic digital wireframe mockups. These simplified designs were used to gather feedback, which I then used to make improvements to the final design.

I invested a considerable amount of time creating a visual palette to ensure this application is both user-friendly and visually appealing. For the color scheme, I carefully selected shades inspired by wildlife and nature, aiming to evoke positive emotions and trust. Additionally, I opted few color palletes to show the emotional experience.

To overcome these challenges, I have designed a simplified onboarding process to quickly familiarize users with the app's features. The capturing feature was made intuitive and user-friendly, allowing users to effortlessly capture their moments and participate in challenges. The rating system was designed to be interactive and accessible, encouraging users to provide feedback and engage with their friends' content.
