Duration: 2 Weeks Pre-Production, 1 Day Principal Photography, 1 Day B-Roll, 2 Weeks Post-Production

Objective:

The goal was to create a compelling 2-3 minute promotional video, with a longer 5-minute version, showcasing the distinctive features of Oceanic Hospitality’s training center in Manila. The video aimed to enhance brand awareness, provide a comprehensive view of the training center’s offerings, and serve as a versatile marketing tool for various events and social media platforms.

Approach and Execution

1. Pre-Production:

Discovery Meetings: Conducted initial consultations with Oceanic Hospitality to understand their vision, key messages, and target audience. These discussions were crucial for aligning the video’s narrative with Oceanic's branding goals.
Scripting and Storyboarding: Developed a detailed script that highlighted the unique aspects of the training center and a behind-the-scenes look at the training sessions. Created a storyboard to visualize each scene and ensure a cohesive flow.
Shot List & Deck Creation: Compiled a comprehensive shot list to cover all necessary footage, including wide shots of the facility, close-ups of training activities, and engaging B-roll content. Prepared a production deck detailing the shoot schedule, location specifics, and required equipment.

2. Principal Photography:

Two Days of Shooting: Directed a full day of principal photography, capturing key moments of the training center in action, and another day for B-rolls. Coordinated with the video team and talent to ensure high-quality footage and adherence to the script.

3. Post-Production:

Editing: Edited the footage into two versions – a concise 2-3 minute promotional video for social media and a more detailed 5-minute version for Oceanic’s website and events. Focused on creating a dynamic, engaging narrative that effectively showcased the center’s features and values.
Voiceover & Sound Design: Collaborated with a professional voiceover artist to ensure a polished and professional audio component. Added background music and sound effects to enhance the overall viewing experience.
Final Review: Conducted multiple rounds of revisions based on client feedback to fine-tune the video, ensuring it met all objectives and maintained high production standards.

4. Delivery and Results:

Deliverables: Provided Oceanic Hospitality with both the short and long versions of the promotional video, formatted for web use, social media, and events. Delivered high-resolution files and ensured compatibility with various platforms.

Impact: The video successfully highlighted the unique attributes of Oceanic’s training center, increasing brand visibility and engagement.
