Verde, a new platform bringing Singapore's local farms and hungry businesses together, needed a website to showcase their vision - fresh, sustainable food connecting farmers to families. The main challenge was capturing Verde's passionate spirit and building a prototype that would wow investors – all within a tight deadline of 1 week!
To get the voice right, I dove headfirst into everything Verde. From official guidelines to social media posts, I soaked up their energy and message. This became my compass, guiding every headline, farmer profile, and page as I crafted content that breathed Verde's life. Their brand colors and visuals became my tools, painting a beautiful and consistent picture across the website.
As a result, the client did not only receive a functional website, but also a digital ambassador for Verde's vision. It spoke to investors, showing them the potential of this platform to change the food scene. And speak it did, landing Verde the funding they needed to make their dream a reality.
The Lessons Learned:
Brand Immersion: Get inside your client's head, heart, and brand guidelines. Then, use it all to create authentic messages that resonate.
Content as a Brushstroke: Words can paint a vivid picture. Use them to showcase your client's vision and make it feel real.
Visual Harmony: Don't mix and match. Use the brand kit like a palette, creating a consistent and memorable experience.
Verde's success story proves that when design sings the same tune as the brand, magic happens. By immersing myself in their world and using words and visuals as tools, we built a website that not only secured funding, but also became the foundation for a thriving marketplace connecting farms and forks.
