Propelling Bert's Garden's Online Brand

Nadra Qamaria

A website for a family-run seaside restaurant in Melaka, Malaysia.
Bert's Garden, a family-run restaurant nestled in Melaka, Malaysia, was bursting with vibrant blooms and overflowing with passion. Yet, their online presence didn't reflect their unique charm. The challenge was to craft a website that captured the essence of Bert's Garden, nurtured online growth, and attracted more customers to host events at their location.
Bert's Garden possessed undeniable magic – the aroma of fresh soil, the vibrant kaleidoscope of flowers, the warm smiles of the family – but translating that emotion online proved tricky. Additionally, the website needed to be user-friendly for both tech-savvy and garden newbie customers, offering accessible information and navigation.
We began by immersing ourselves in the Bert's Garden experience. Conversations with the family, walks through the large restaurant itself, and countless photos captured the essence of its history. This research formed the foundation of the website design, guiding the visual language, tone of voice, and user experience.
Key Takeaways:
Brand Immersion: Deeply understand your client's values and essence to translate them into an authentic online experience.
User-Centric Design: Prioritize ease of use and accessibility to nurture customer engagement and conversions.
Bert's Garden website redesign is a testament to the power of design that blooms with understanding, accessibility, and knowledge. We didn't just create a website – we cultivated a digital extension of Bert's Garden, allowing its charm and expertise to flourish online.
