PlanIA — Designing clarity from handwritten chaos

Role: Web & Product Designer Scope: Landing page strategy, content structure, UI design, Framer build Timeline: 10 days Tools: Figma, Framer Client: AI productivity startup

The challenge

PlanIA is an AI-powered productivity tool that transforms handwritten notes, voice, and text into structured tasks and plans.
The challenge wasn’t visual design — it was communication.
The product is powerful, but without the right structure, it could easily feel:
too technical
too abstract
or like “just another notes app with AI”
The goal was to design a landing page that:
explains the product in seconds
speaks directly to professionals
and makes a complex idea feel simple and calm

The approach

Instead of starting with features, I focused on story and mental models.
The landing page was built around one clear flow:
Capture → Understand → Structure → Execute
Every section answers a specific user question:
Is this for me?
What problem does it solve?
How does it work?
How does this improve my daily work?
This allowed the page to guide users from curiosity to clarity without overwhelming them.

Key design decisions

Outcome-first copy Features were always paired with what changes for the user.
Clear section hierarchy Features, use cases, and differentiation each had a distinct layout and role.
Real-world scenarios Use cases like meetings, lectures, and brainstorms were shown as transformations, not feature lists.
Calm, breathable design Minimal layouts, whitespace, and Notion-inspired visuals to build trust and focus.
Framer-first build The page was designed in Figma and built in Framer with smooth interactions and responsive behavior.

The result

The final landing page:
clearly positions PlanIA as a bridge between thinking and execution
helps visitors quickly self-identify as the right users
explains a complex AI product without technical jargon
feels professional, confident, and easy to understand
It sets a strong foundation for future growth, marketing, and user acquisition.

Takeaway

A good landing page doesn’t sell features — it removes confusion.
This project was about turning a complex product into a clear, human story that professionals can instantly relate to.
