HIDEAGATE — PAID SOCIAL CREATIVE STRATEGY & MOTION DESIGN
THE CHALLENGE
HIDEAGATE is a retractable in-wall pet gate designed to protect pets without interrupting a considered interior. The campaign goal was to drive online sales while learning which creative messages worked best across two distinct audiences: homeowners and pet owners, and professionals including architects, builders, and interior designers.
THE STRATEGY
Instead of creating one generic product ad, I developed two audience-specific routes around the same core benefit: the gate disappears into the wall when it is not needed.
Pets / Homeowners — a relatable, non-salesy social reel using product interaction, pet context, and fast benefit-led copy to make the everyday value immediately clear.
Pros — a design-focused reel for architects and interior professionals, positioning HIDEAGATE as a built-in, spec-ready solution that preserves clean lines and architectural intent.
THE PROCESS
I began by auditing three existing Meta creatives across link CTR, CPC, engagement, and conversion consistency. The strongest creative delivered a 9.7% link CTR and $0.12 link CPC, with the highest engagement volume and consistent conversions.
From that analysis, I identified the creative principles worth carrying forward: show the product mechanism in the first few seconds, use hand-led POV footage for instant clarity, keep the pacing tight, make copy minimal and benefit-focused, and preserve the premium feel through typography, motion, sound, and polished interior footage.
I then mapped core and experimental concepts, refined hooks and CTAs, and built the final edits around the best-performing visual and psychological cues rather than simply recycling the original ads.
THE OUTCOME
The result is a two-part paid-social creative system: one reel makes the product feel relatable and useful for pet owners, while the other gives design professionals a clear reason to specify it. Both combine social-first storytelling, motion-led typography, product demonstration, and audience-specific messaging within one consistent campaign direction.
