My role: Product Designer

The goal of the XCARE project was to design and build a non-custodial DeFi platform that combines Web3 security with Web2 user experience, leveraging ERC-4337 and ERC-7712 standards for account abstraction and seamless integrations.

I led the product design for the platform, creating intuitive user flows and interface designs that bridge the complexity of blockchain technology with familiar Web2 interactions. Working closely with the frontend engineering team, I designed a super-modular architecture that enables seamless integrations while maintaining full asset custody for users. The design prioritised accessibility and ease of use, making advanced DeFi functionality approachable for both crypto-native and traditional users.

The impact included delivering a Web2-style user experience with full asset custody, establishing one of the first real-world deployments of Web2.5 DeFi, and creating a platform that successfully balances security, functionality, and user-friendliness in the decentralised finance space.
