What is the E-plane Company doing?
The E-Plane company has developed its first compact electric 2-seater air taxi- e200 which can carry a payload of 200 kgs and can cover up to 200 km. The e200 will boast of the “VTOL” technology meaning that it will be able to take-off and land vertically. The company is planning to commercialize this concept by 2024. It is also working on small cargo flights like the e50 which can carry a payload of 50 kgs.
The e200 is just about twice the width of a car. A regular car is around 2m in width and 4.5m in length. The e200 is about 5m in length and width. In spite of its small and compact design, the air taxi can accommodate 2 people and can reduce the time traveled by almost 4 times. The company's mission is to reduce the time spent in traffic and help you reach your destination quicker. They also aim to expand their fleet by producing 3 and 4 seater air vehicles in the future.
