The Brief

The Daily Grind is not your average coffee shop. Built on a passion for bold coffee, The Daily Grind brings together deep thinkers, chaotic creators, and anyone in need of that perfect cup of Joe to power their day. Their goal was to create a space where individuality isn’t just welcomed, it’s celebrated. 
The goal of this collaboration was more than a new logo. We needed to break down The Daily Grind’s story and reimagine what they could look like. We wanted to convey The Daily Grind’s fast paced energy with punk undertones, while still maintaining professionalism within the space.

The Solution

So how do we bring soul into this brand? How can it capture the rhythm of coffee in motion, the speed of the grind, the pulse of the space, and the vibrant energy the staff bring to every interaction, all within a single, memorable and distinct mark?
The Cheetah. 
Chosen as the heart and essence of The Daily Grind’s brand identity, the cheetah represents more than just speed here. It embodies precision and focus, qualities that mirror the craft behind every cup. The Daily Grind operates with a sharp attention to detail, delivering coffee quickly without ever compromising on quality.
Much like the cafe itself, the cheetah is striking, unconventional, and impossible to ignore. It reflects the spirit of a place that celebrates individuality, attracts the curious, and thrives on a slightly weird energy. It’s a symbol that resonates with the weird and wonderful community The Daily Grind is built for.
