Jonathan had 27 golf coaching videos, two pricing tiers, and a domain sitting in GoDaddy doing nothing.
Jonathan runs The Golf Practice Club, a subscription-based golf coaching platform he'd been building on the side. He had the content ready: 27 training videos, a 7-day free trial structure, a basic plan at $9.95/month, and a premium plan at $39.95/month. He had the domain (thegolfpracticeclub.com). He even had a detailed brief with specific images, testimonials, and exact copy. What he didn't have was someone who could take all of that and actually build it into something that converts.
He was splitting time between Brisbane and Japan, his UK-based team member was handling bits and pieces, and the whole thing was stuck in planning. So he took a chance on me and said let's go.
I didn't start in Kajabi. I started in Lovable.
Jonathan's brief had low-resolution images and a lot of moving parts. Instead of jumping straight into Kajabi and guessing, I built the full landing page mockup in Lovable first. The images in his document weren't usable, so I generated AI visuals to represent the layout and got the first version in front of him within hours.
His response: "Looks good well done."
Then the real work started.
5 to 6 revision rounds before touching Kajabi
Jonathan knew exactly what he wanted. Over the next week we went back and forth tightening every detail:
Logo: larger, no black circle border, transparent background
Text colors: removed the hard-to-read accent color, switched to clean white throughout
Images: swapped every AI placeholder for his actual photos, sent via email in full resolution
Testimonials: made the styling consistent across all sections (the Sean Hogan testimonial was off)
Pricing: made the €99/year offer more visible
Repeated sections: deleted duplicates, replaced with the correct content
Every round was handled same-day or next-day. When I ran out of Lovable credits mid-revision, I flagged the two remaining issues (transparent logo upload and two image swaps) and moved those fixes directly into the Kajabi build instead of stalling the project.
From approved design to full Kajabi build
Once Jonathan signed off on the mockup, I built the entire system in Kajabi with custom code so it matched the approved design exactly:
Pages and design
A custom-coded landing page matching the Lovable mockup pixel for pixel
Hero section with the correct logo sizing and clean typography
Testimonials section with consistent formatting
Pricing section with both tiers clearly visible
Course and subscription setup
Two subscription offers: basic at $9.95/month and premium at $39.95/month with full access to all 27 videos
7-day free trial flow with gated content after payment
All 27 training videos organized and structured for both trial and paid subscribers
Mobile app tested end to end to make sure everything worked across devices
Payment and domain
Stripe payment integration: Jonathan's UK team member had connected Stripe to the wrong Kajabi space (the "Source Code" space instead of "The Practice Club"). I spotted the issue, flagged it, and guided them to the correct setup
Domain connection: connected thegolfpracticeclub.com from GoDaddy to Kajabi, handled the nameserver configuration that Jonathan wasn't familiar with, and walked him through it via a Loom video walkthrough
Working across 3 time zones and still delivering fast
This project had a lot of coordination overhead. Jonathan was in Japan, then Brisbane. His graphics person was in the UK. I'm in Pakistan. We made it work with Google Meet calls, Loom videos, email for high-res assets, and quick message turnarounds. When Jonathan said "let me know the next step and what you need from me and I'll get it to you by Monday," I kept the list short and specific so nothing stalled.
The full build, from first Lovable mockup to tested landing page, course, subscriptions, mobile app, payment integration, and live domain, was completed and ready for Jonathan to launch his ad campaigns.
