Overview 🔎

This article is a highlight of my work as an SEO writer for the media company BLENDtw. I was assigned a keyword - in this case, 'motivational quotes for students to study harder' - and from there I was responsible for competitor research, compilation of material (including images), and writing the content of the piece. I am also enthusiastic about my projects, and I promote my work on social media, amongst friends, etc.

Problem & Solution 🤝

This was, in fact, my first published SEO article. While I underwent extensive training, part of this project included adapting, in real time, to the style expectations of this specific site, alongside the conventions of SEO writing. In the end I believe I found a happy marriage between the two standards; this is an extensive and well-written piece.

Process 🛣

As this was my first piece of content with this site, I invested additional time into the preparatory stages of this project. I reviewed BLENDtw's site at length, verified my research and competitor guide at length, and scrutinized the company's style guide. With a reinforced foundation, the writing of the piece came about more efficiently; the article's quality had been built into my writing and editing processes.

I also took time to address the potential secondary intents of this article's readers: I nestled in a compilation of songs which students could utilise as a study playlist, included a section on community and another on student life, and wrote my own commentary following each quotation.

Results 🎁

I could have easily transcribed a cut-and-dry list of quotes: I would have been paid the same way, and it would have cut down on my workload immensely. However, I was determined to produce the highest-quality and most helpful piece of content, with this being the final result.
